The Story/History of ZAM ZAM Water
The Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) came to Mecca with his wife Haggar and baby Ismael . He left his family there on the orders of Allah. Haggar and Ismael Drunk all the stored water and Ismael began to mourn. Haggar could not do anything, and started running from the top of a hill: ASAFA to the following: ALMARWAH for help. She did it 7 times. She returned to Ismael when she heard a voice . She asked for help. Gabriel (pbuh) strike the ground and the water came from. Haggar covered the hole with sand to avoid water spillage. That was the water of Zamzam. A caravan was crossing the valley and saw birds floating on the water that was never existed before, so they asked Haggar to camp near the water. This marked the beginning of Mecca. Civilization continued to rise after Ibrahim and Ismail (peace be upon them) rebuilt the Holy Mosque. The Tribe Jurhum was the historic guardians of the sacred mosque until the Khuz'ah Tribe acquired possession. Around the fifth Century A.D Qusay Ibn Kilab was the guardian of the sacred Mosque and Zamzam. Abdul Muttalib ibn Hashim, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) grandfather dug the well once more after the event of the Elephant and the Zamzam water came again.
A verse of the Quran Kareem
"Our Lord! I have settled some of my children in an uncultivable valley (of Makkah), in the vicinity of your Holy House. Our Lord! (I have done) so that they may observe prayer. Then make the hearts of the people incline towards them and provide them with fruits so that they may always give thanks." Al Quran(14:37) The Meaning of the Verse: My God, I left some of my family in this valley for Your Sacred Mosque. Please God, make them perform their prayers, and let the hearts of the people to them and support them with the resources of the life they are grateful.
Hadith of Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H on Zam Zam Water
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The best water on earth is the water of Zamzam, which is a type of food and cure of disease." (Sahih al-Jami, 3302). The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The most sublime of all earthly waters is that of Zamzam, there are food for the hungry and medicine for the sick." [Al-Tabarani] According to Saheeh Muslim that the Prophet Muhammad PBUH told Abu Dhar, who had stayed near the Kaba and its coverings for forty days and forty nights without food or drink other than ZAM ZAM , "How long have you been here," said Abu Dhar," I've been here for thirty days and nights "The Prophet Muhammad PBUH said, "Who has fed you. ' said Abu Dhar "I have had nothing but Zamzam water, and I've gotten so that I have folds of fat in the stomach. I do not feel tired or weak from hunger and I'm not too thin" The Prophet Muhammad PBUH said. "Indeed, it is blessed, is the food that feeds" (Imaam Muslim, 2473).
The water of Zamzam was named "Zamzam" due to the abundance of its waters. It was also said, as it accumulates. Another reason was that Hajjar said: "Zam Zam" which means staying in one place.
THE MANNERS AND HOW TO DRINK ZAMZAM WATER
Ibn Abbas reported: I served. (water of) zamzam to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him), and he drank it while standing. (Book #023, Hadith #5023) Ibn 'Abbas reported: I served (water from) zamzam to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him), and he drank while standing, and he asked for it while he was near the House (i. e. House of Allah-Ka'ba). (Book #023, Hadith #5026) Narrated Ibn Abbas: I gave zam-zam water to Allah's Apostle and he drank it while standing. Aasia (a sub-narrator) said that Ikrima took the oath that on that day the Prophet had not been standing but riding a camel. Sahih Bukhari(Book #26, Hadith #701) The bottom line is: * Look at the direction of the Qiblah. * Say the Name of Allah. * Thanks to Allah Almighty.
The water of Zamzam is the best in the universe. Zamzam well is 18 meters from the Black Stone in the east door of the Kabah: Behind Maqam Ibrahim. under the Mattaf it is marked by a sign "ZAMZAM WATER WELL" which is 156 cm above the actual well. In 1908 and 1973 chemical analyzes were carried out and proven that Zamzam water is indeed free from germs or pollutants. It is like mineral water, its mineral content 2000 mg / liter. It contained the following minerals: calcium, sodium, magnesium, among many others. Zamzam is the richest mineral calcium (200 mg / liter). The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was honest when he said: "Zamzam is the feed the hungry". Chemical tests have proven that Zamzam water is exceptionally pure and has no color or taste. By international health standards, particularly those of the World Health Organization, Zamzam water is perfectly drinkable, has a good health outcomes and has a high sodium content. It was also discovered that by the Will of God, the Almighty, on evaporation, mineral content of Zamzam to no adverse outcomes on health, on the contrary, it is very useful. All above tests proved that Zamzam water is pure and drinkable according to international standards, and can only confirm the miracles of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Allah said: "He does not say anything out of (his own) fanciful desire. This (Quran) is nothing but (pure) revelation, revealed (to him by Allah)."Surah An-Najm (53:3-4)
